Using the Reading Room and Borrowing
For collections borrowing and using in the Reading Room you have to fill out a call slip. After that you will receive reserved books from the librarian. In return, you have to show them identity card or a passport.
Old and rare books can be used in the Professors Reading Room and Old and Rare books Department (Treasury). Manuscript books, manuscripts and archival materials, the oldest printed books, antique maps, atlases, unique and special rarities can be used only in the reading room of the Old and Rare books Department.
A book can be kept up to 3 months in the reading room. If it is not used for 10 days in a row, it will be returned to the shelf.
If a patron wishes to bring their own materials they are required to report to the librarian in the reading room.
Before entering the reading room, patron should present their membership card and things they carry (purse, briefcase, etc.) in order to get the seat number for the reading room.
Food and drinks are not allowed in the reading room.
