Lecture and Exhibition "Nietzsche & 2001: A Space Odyssey"

University Library “Svetozar Markovic” and Faculty of Philology are organizing a lecture “Nietzsche and 2001: A Space Odyssey” on March 15, 2012 at 7 pm at the University Library, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 71. Lecturer will be one of the most distinguished contemporary anthropologists prof. Dr. Dr. H. James Birx from the Canisius College, USA.

This lecture opens The Series: Serendipity in Science, Philosophy and the Arts. The Series will gather distinguished speakers from Serbia and abroad and will highlight various fields of scientific work in an attempt to inspire the phenomenon of serendipity which represents the very force of scientific progress that should deliver the best results in creating synergy effects of multidisciplinary research. Distinguished scientists, philosophers and artists from Sweden, Netherlands, UK, USA and Serbia will join The Series as authors and lecturers.

The exhibition “Nietzsche and 2001: A Space Odyssey” will be open for visitors until the end of March 2012 at the University Library “Svetozar Markovic”. Authors of the exhibition are professor  H.James Birx and Adam Sofronijevic.
