THE EUROPEAN UNION INFORMATION CENTRE - EUi
University library ''Svetozar Marković'' had been honored to have the first Info Centre on the European Union opened within its premises. At the official opening of the Centre, held on Thursday, February 5, 2009, H.E. Ambassador Josep M.Lloveras, Head of Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia, and dr Stela Filipi Matutinovic, Library director, signed the Agreement on the Centre’s founding. The speakers were also Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU integration Bozidar Djelic and professor dr Aleksandar Sedmak, prorector for the international cooperation of the University of Belgrade.
The aim of the EU Info Centre in Belgrade is improvement of the citizens’ knowledge on the European Union.
The Centre provides various services:
- search of the EU databases;
- access and use of publications on the EU;
- service ''Ask a librarian about the EU'', for questions via e-mail: email@example.com
The EU Info Centre in Belgrade is open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, except on Wednesday, when working hours are from 3PM to 7 PM.
Services of the Info Centre are free of charge for all the citizens of Serbia.
The EU Info Centre was opened with the help of Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia, based on the agreement between the University library and the European Union (represented by the Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia).
